We are a four-part male choir (T1, T2, B1, B2), founded on the 8th of May 1916 in Oslo—then known as Kristiania, the capital of Norway. Our roots lie in the academic student choral tradition and the Liedertafel heritage, where song and socialising have always gone hand in hand.
This year we are proudly celebrating our 110th anniversary—and, as you might imagine, very few of our current members remember our early days!
To mark the occasion, more than 50 singers have travelled to Dublin to indulge in some of our greatest passions: song and music—and, of course, beer. In preparation for this trip, we have rehearsed several Irish songs. Throughout our stay in Dublin, we will perform these alongside Norwegian, Scandinavian, and other English-language repertoire—as often as time, venue, and goodwill allow.
We hope you enjoy our contribution. And above all, we hope you’ll join us in singing a little—and drinking a lot!
As of 2026, the choir has over 70 active members, ranging in age from the early 20s to nearly 80. While none of us are professional musicians and we earn our living in many different ways, this is far more than a hobby—it is our passion. Though we come from all walks of life, we are united by our love of singing and the high musical standard required to be part of this ensemble.
